I'm older now, and kind of bored with myself...

I'm probably never going to move back to NYC while I'm alive. And I'll never be able to afford a house anywhere while I'm alive. BUT: I CAN afford a plot at Ferncliff in Hartsdale, NY!  :)

I mean, not a crematory urn next to Joan Crawford or anything, BUT: I was just looking up burial options at Ferncliff: $30,000 for regular burials. I have that much, easy, in various past-work-related 401Ks.

Last time I was in that part of the country was in 2009, specifically to visit Joan Crawford's unit of the mausoleum. But while there: The country north of NYC is beautiful, and Ferncliff, in particular, is beautiful. If I'm going to be buried somewhere---why not in a beautiful established place instead of a backwoods graveyard 30 miles west of Fort Worth that developers will ultimately overturn?

$30,000. A new Mazda or a cool place to be buried. I'm leaning toward the latter. I just tonight put in my inquiry to Ferncliff.
