...I don't even know what a "sub-woofer" is. (Looked it up online; apparently it "helps the bass.") But I got one!
After both my Panasonic and JVC CD-players gave up in the last year, I ordered a better boom-box after reading reviews online. This thing is insanely loud! Most online reviews tout how loud it is in their garage, or out on their patio. While I don't need it to be as loud as in a garage or on a patio, it's definitely better than what I had (for the same couple of hundred dollars).
